After a lapse of several years, Kilfian G.A.A. Club was reformed in 1978. In 1985 a new pitch was acquired and developed at Ratheskin, and the new Clubhouse was completed in 1998 On the playing field, the club has enjoyed its share of success, especially at underage level. In 2003 the Junior team made history when they were promoted to Intermediate level. Due to the population decline, all underage football is played with Round Towers club. Kilfian GAA Club has now received National Lottery Funding for a new pitch which will enhance its ability to be the centre for childrens sporting activities and competitions for the area.
