Kilfian > Tourism

Kilfian's Potential for Tourism has hardly been recognised. Yet it is set in one of the most scenic areas of County Mayo with rolling hills, streams and rivers teeming with trout and salmon and set in the centre of a triangle of historical sites, castles and gravestones.

This triangle stretches from Belderrig in the North to Crossmolina in the south and Killalla in the East. Ever present wherever one travels in this region is the image of Mount Nephin lingering in the background.

Site map below shows Kilfian in the centre of the popular tourist destinations of Ballycastle with beautiful beaches, Belderig's Ceide Fields towering over hugh cliffs into the Atlantic Ocean where there is a Visitors Interperative Centre.©
